Blackbelt Audio 12-Month Warranty
Blackbelt Audio provides a 12-month warranty on all units against manufacturing defects. This exceeds the 6-month implied warranty required under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act.
|
Our 12-month warranty covers: manufacturing defects, component failures under normal operating conditions, and any fault that arises from the unit itself — not from installation, vehicle electrical issues, or external damage. |
What the Warranty Covers
• Defective touchscreen (unresponsive or cracked from manufacturing)
• Processor or software failure not caused by user modification
• Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or GPS hardware failure
• Audio output failure not caused by incorrect wiring
• CANBUS module failure under normal operating conditions
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
• Physical damage caused by accident, misuse, or improper handling
• Water, moisture, or liquid damage
• Damage caused by incorrect installation, including reversed polarity, incorrect voltage, or improper grounding
• Installation in a 24V vehicle electrical system
• Damage caused by modification, repair, or tampering by any party other than Blackbelt Audio
• Normal wear and tear
• Consumable components (USB cables, mounting screws)
• Software issues caused by the customer installing third-party apps or custom firmware
• Units from which the serial number or identifying labels have been removed
How to Claim Under Warranty
1. WhatsApp us with a short video showing the fault clearly
2. Include your order number and the vehicle the unit is installed in
3. We will assess the fault and respond within 2 business days
4. If the fault is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, we will arrange collection at our cost
5. You may choose a repair, replacement, or refund — your choice, as provided under the CPA
If a repaired unit develops the same fault within 3 months of repair, we will replace or refund it without further assessment — as required under the CPA.
Warranty and Professional Installation
We strongly recommend professional installation, particularly for CANBUS-dependent vehicles. However, professional installation is not a condition of the warranty. Self-installation does not void the warranty unless the fault is directly attributable to incorrect installation.
