Warranty
Blackbelt Audio 12-Month Limited Warranty
Blackbelt Audio provides a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This additional warranty operates alongside, and does not replace or reduce, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
Your Statutory Rights During the First 6 Months
Within 6 months after delivery, qualifying goods that fail to meet the quality standards in sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act may be returned at our risk and expense. You may direct us to repair or replace the goods, or refund the price paid, as provided by the Act.
Additional Warranty During Months 7–12
For a confirmed manufacturing defect arising after the first 6 months and within 12 months of delivery, Blackbelt Audio may repair or replace the affected unit after assessment. This does not limit any other right that applies under law.
What the Warranty Covers
- Manufacturing defects in the touchscreen or internal components
- Processor or software failure not caused by user modification
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, audio-output or CANBUS hardware failure under normal use
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
- Accident, misuse, improper handling, liquid or moisture damage
- Damage caused by incorrect installation, reversed polarity, incorrect voltage or improper grounding
- Installation in a 24V electrical system
- Unauthorised modification, repair, tampering, custom firmware or third-party software
- Normal wear and tear or consumable accessories
- Units with removed or altered serial numbers or identifying labels
These exclusions apply only where the excluded cause is relevant to the fault and to the extent permitted by law.
How to Make a Claim
- Contact us by WhatsApp or email during our published support hours.
- Provide the order number, vehicle details and a clear short video or photos showing the fault.
- Follow the testing or return instructions supplied. Do not send the unit before receiving return instructions.
Valid claims will be handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act and this additional warranty. If a repair covered by section 56 fails to remedy the defect, or a further defect appears within 3 months after that repair, the replacement or refund rights in section 56(3) apply.
Installation
Professional installation is strongly recommended, particularly for CANBUS-dependent vehicles, but it is not automatically a condition of warranty. A claim may be declined only to the extent that the fault or damage was caused by incorrect installation or another valid exclusion.
